Advancing Expertise in Early Childhood Education/Learning at Work II, 6–10 cr

The student works as an early childhood education and care teacher and is responsible for the delivery of pedagogical activities. The course contains the planning of pedagogical activities based on observation and guiding documents, and as part of professional collaboration. The student extends his/her understanding of cooperation with families. During the course, the student´s understanding of ECEC as a functional unit and part of the environment formed by the neighboring area and ECEC networks is extended. 

During the course, the student acts according to the ethical standards and in keeping with the professional identity of an early childhood education and care teacher. The opportunities and means of development of ECEC and pedagogical leadership within the role of the early childhood education and care teacher are studied.
