The course examines the professional identity of the early childhood education and care teacher as well as multi-professional interaction and cooperation. The functions of educational organisations are considered especially from the perspective of cooperation between professionals, relations with families, the objectives of early childhood education and care, and the child's wellbeing and learning. In the course, the formation of professional interaction is studied and the professional expertise required in cross-sectoral work communities is developed. Furthermore, the child's individual early childhood education and care plan, its planning, and the participation of families in developing ECEC are studied.
