Opintojaksolla tutustutaan analyysidemonstraatioiden ja kirjallisuuden avulla puheen ja puhe- sekä lauluäänen keskeisiin akustisiin tutkimusmenetelmiin. Tehdään pienimuotoinen omaan kokeelliseen tutkimukseen perustuva raportti puheesta tai laulusta, ja esitellään se kongressiesitelmän tapaan.
