All journeys to a finished PhD are unique. One thing in common, however, is the crucial need for careful planning and mapping out of the steps and phases on the way. Planning not only makes you more aware of your own choices and goals, and the skills and competences you wish to acquire, but also reduces stress. If you wish to stop and think ahead how to plan and make the best use of your time, to identify necessary choices and to develop both your academic and transferable skills as a doctoral researcher – this course is for you.

This concise two-day course provides practical tools and support for the management of the 4-year doctoral thesis project. The course consists of individual reading & hands-on assignments and face-to-face discussion on these in class.
