Pedagogical Leadership, 5 cr

The course examines early childhood education and care leadership structures, governing practices and pedagogical development. Pedagogical leadership and the multiprofessional work community are addressed, as are competences related to professional interaction. The student also learns to identify the factors affecting the welfare of work communities. Furthermore, the student becomes familiar with the structures and methods of assessing the quality of ECEC, and he/she gains a broader understanding of leadership and curriculum work by planning a development process that supports the expertise of the whole ECEC community.

The period deepens comprehension of the societal impact of ECEC teacher's professional agency.
