The course aims to increase student’s ethical awareness on different audiences as users of digital media and services as one perspective of sustainability in digital life among children, youth and adults. This is explored through the developments in audience and user studies with studies on digital literacies. The course offers insights to conceptual frameworks and research orientations to future in digital spheres from the user’s perspective and digital literacies as learning. While students construct an understanding of the user’s perspective and digital literacies, they will reflect on the potentials of future services, policies and digital productions on the basis of these ethical perspectives and approaches among different user groups.
