PlayLab! Game Journalism Project 1, 5–10 cr

On PlayLab! Game Journalism Project course, the students will engage in popularized academic game writing and peer review process. They will write game, play and toy reviews, popularization on game research and submit their texts under the peer-review process. The writing assignments can be written either in English or in Finnish, during academic year 2023-2024 only in English. Selected texts will be published on PlayLab! online magazine: http://playlab.uta.fi/

The students can decide during the course if they are taking it in the shorter (5 credits) or the longer form (10 credits). The amount of writing assignments is dependent on the form selected, the longer course may include being Editor in Chief or Community Manager instead of writing assignments. The peer reviews will be conducted via the Moodle platform and communication via the Facebook group of the course.
