The course examines the relationship between digital society and education and learning, as well as the ability to perceive different features of digital society from the perspective of media literacy. The main themes of the course are
audiences: the relationship with digital technology, the use of media in everyday life, learning and social inclusion, and the management and issues of user data collection
representations: media-produced gender roles and identity models, worldviews, and dis- and misinformation
language: media presentations and formats, affordances of digital technology
production: the power of the media, data, information and opportunities for self-expression and inclusion
environment: media as an environment for action and learning, eco-social education, media ecology and social media ethics
