Societal security as a field of security studies, relationship between societal security, internal security, everyday security and other fields of security and safety. Contemporary phenomena like for instance asylum flows, climate change, cyber crime, robots and their relationship to security and safety issues. Prevention, preparedness, protection, capacity building and other elements of societal security dynamics. Governance of societal security, networks and processes. Changing security regimes and role of state and security authorities. The whole-of-society approach to security governance and management. Threat and security risk assessment practices. The role of technology in societal security problem solving and development.
