This course examines racism and anti-racism from various perspectives and provides an opportunity to learn and practice anti-racist interventions. The history of racism, racialized relations, anti-racist movements and the meanings of race as a social category are explored from the perspectives of various disciplines and multidisciplinary research traditions, such as post / decolonial theories, whiteness studies and discussions on intersectionality. Racism and anti-racism are viewed as phenomena that shape subjectivity, identities, social relations and cultures globally and locally.
