International outlook and global responsibility
On this course we will focus on the intersections of language and gender. The students will learn about topics including the following: language and feminist theory, language and queer theory, and languaging the (gendered) body. Course work will focus mainly on using methods of discourse analysis in examining the ways in which gender is constructed through language in different contexts.
