Crossout is a massively multiplayer online game (MMO), where the player can try the project either with teammates or alone. The environment of the game is a post-apocalyptic world, consisting of various locations. Each area performs a unique interesting layout and abandoned constructions, delivering the atmosphere of the past industrial civilisation.
Players have their garage, where they can construct several types of battle machines. Moreover, there is a possibility to test your mechanic creations in the training area. Different fractions offer a variety of tasks and missions, completing of which will provide you with experience (exp), new components and blueprints for creating or modifying a vehicle. A great advantage of the game policy is that it includes a marketplace, where a player can exchange the details, sell or buy necessary pieces. Finally, the in-game interface includes an “exhibition” section, which is actually an internal “museum”. It presents a diversity of projects, produced by the community and each of these masterpieces may be tested in the training area.
The player is free to choose any available mechanic components and weapon. Picking specific weaponry will define the strategy of operating the vehicle. The number of power points, which is peculiar to every single detail, define the level and rank while joining the game. So, the gameplay is following a certain design of the machine.
In fact, a player should choose an ideology of play. If you are a fan of contact combats, the best decision would be probably to produce a vehicle, where the main weapons are shotguns. The body of such a car is quite similar to the inverted plate. So, it is more difficult for other players to shoot at it as it is quite low. Moreover, the main tactics of shotgun carriers are bumping to the enemies, lifting a hostile vehicle with help of the “inverted plate” structure and just shooting the bottom elements. These contact battle machines also include “battering ram” machines, that usually have a structure of a missile and possess explosive spares and saws in the front part. Such machinery aims to strike against the enemy at enormous speeds.
Cannons and autocannons are commonly the most used types of weapons. The thing is that these are usually quite solid and the better way of destroying such a vehicle is not shooting the guns but destroying the movement elements. Autocannons are possessing an automatic firing option and deliver relatively high damage. Cannons are hard to operate in terms of aiming and reaching the target as you only have a one-shot and a long reloading period. However, the successful shot will deliver a lot of damage. Cars with this type of weaponry are commonly well armoured and quite slow.
This project would be a great choice for fans of vehicular combat games and also for people who are fond of vast creative and building opportunities. Moreover, if you are done with imagination and inventions and do not want to just look at your product, Crossout provides you an option to try it in a digital world. Generally, the concept is “Go create and test it on others”. There is a huge diversity of weaponry and technical devices; testing will help you to understand the mechanic and purpose of each element. These insights assist you with a proper and optimal combination of components.
