After completing the Master's Degree Programme in Gender Studies the students will have
- gained interdisciplinary understanding on gendered and sexualized society
- skills and knowledge to work independently with central theoretical and methodological traditions of the research on gender and sexuality, feminisms, gender equality and production of knowledge and power
- comprehended how gender and sexuality organize social life and its material-discursive practices, institutions, body, interaction and identities
- learnt to design, conduct and report critical academic research on gender and sexuality in society
- gained expertise on promoting gender and sexual equality and equal opportunities in various contexts in society

The curriculum gathers students and faculty from social sciences and the humanities and arts broadly to develop innovative, intersectional and interdisciplinary ways of expanding knowledge on gender and sexuality in local, historical, cross-cultural and transnational contexts. The degree engages wide-ranging and interdisciplinary traditions in gender studies, including gendering practices, gender equality and feminist politics, material feminisms, affects, and queer studies.
It addresses the latest debates, using cutting-edge research from this exciting and growing area of study. It examines central theories and approaches in the study of gender and sexuality, and explores the ways in which gender and sexuality intersect with other differences such as class, age, race, ethnicity. Further, the programme provides qualifications to proceed equal opportunities and human rights in a variety of contexts.
