Institute of Biomedical Technology

The Institute of Biomedical Technology was formed from the Institute
of Medical Technology and Regea Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
Additionally, the education given by the institute is carried out in
close cooperation with the Programme of Biotechnology at the Tampere
University of Technology. Thus, the interdisciplinary Biotechnology Programme created is unique in Finland. The modern study programme
offers students the possibility to work in research groups and
familiarize with the industry of the field early in their careers. The
international MSc Programme in Bioinformatics executed in cooperation
with the University of Turku enables studying in English which makes
recruiting international students possible. The institute offers
Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, Licentiate of Science and
Doctor's degree (PhD) in the field of natural sciences as well as
Doctor of Medicine, Licentiate in Philosophy and Doctor's Degree (PhD)
in the field of medicine.
