The course focuses on theoretical and practical aspects of internationalisation in education and explores international dimension of educational phenomena. These topics will be discussed through lectures and workshops.

The course will address the topic of learning difficulties in Elementary and Secondary Education (from 1st to 9th grade). Students that take part in this course will have a general view of what is described and identified as learning disorders, its distinctions from other emotional elements that can influence in learning process, and collectively we will discuss about the implications of these situation for the schooling, and the role of teachers within that process. The discussion will be grounded in the contributions of the cultural-historical theory and critical educational psychology, aiming to broaden the ways students elaborate pedagogical practices and prompt children's development.
This study module is available for all students (TaY, TTY, TAMK). Max 25 students and 5 places from that are reserved for the students from Open University teaching.

Content: During the course, the foundations, aims, and key concepts of multicultural and intercultural education will be explored. In addition, studies concerning multicultural study and work environments will be presented, discussed, and compared.
Max. 20 students, 5 places will be reserved for the open university students.
In this course students apply key issues and concepts in educational science as well as appraise questions concerning ethical research conduct to their own research project. Students adopt a chosen theoretical position and align that with methodology and methods to successfully undertake a research project at bachelor level. Students complete a research thesis from the development of research design, to the generation and analysis of data, and the drafting their thesis.
