Epidemiologian perusteet vastaa aiemman opetussuunnitelman Väestön terveys II-opintojakson epidemiologian osuutta.
Opintojakso toteutetaan lukuvuonna 2013-14 englanninkielisenä. Harjoituksiin perustetaan suomenkielinen ryhmä, mikäli osallistujia on tarpeeksi. Terveystieteiden tutkinto-ohjelman opiskelijat voivat osallistua myös englanninkielisiin harjoituksiin.
