Learning outcomes
It is envisaged that students will attain several transferable skills in microfinance, and have a developed capability of:
- Understanding the issues of market failure and moral hazard in emerging credit markets;
- Explaining the usability of microfinance in practice;
- Evaluating the gains of microfinance in addressing poverty and women´s well-being;
- Critically evaluating the debate concerning the social desirability of microfinance, and producing strategies to avoid mission drift in social enterprises.
