Students understand the interdisciplinary nature of management by familiarizing themselves with perspectives offered by Business Studies, Administrative Studies and Politics and learn about the basics of management as a concept and professional practice. In particular, students will be able to analyse the effectiveness/ineffectiveness of some managerial practices and what are the central roles and responsibilities related to management particularly in private, public and non-profit organisations. Students are also familiarized what are the most crucial current challenges and future perspectives facing the management and concrete managerial working duties. In particular, the course will aim to equip students with argumentation and debating skills in the context of decision-making and managerial work.
