After completing the course unit, the student perceives general structures of global economy, its central institutions and governance. The student understands how these structures have developed historically as significance of globalisation for international economy. At the same time the student is able to recognise political nature of questions which concern the organising and regulations of world economy, as interests of different actors to shape them. Moreover, the student is able to learn vocabulary of international political economy, and knows the most central theoretical approaches, which they can apply to new topics in the field.
