Learning outcomes: After successful completion of the course the student knows

- Basic Trade Models establishing the basis, effects and gains from trade
- The link between International Trade and Economic Growth
- International Movements of Capital and Labour
- International Trade Policy and arguments for protection
- International capital movements and the foreign exchange mechanism
- The economic effects of the balance of payments deficit
