Learning outcomes

After completing the course students will be able to
- recognise dynamics of continuity and change in Finnish-Russian and EU-Russian relations
- independently analyse Finnish-Russian relation and EU-Russian relations
- discuss and debate contemporary issues in Finnish-Russian and EU-Russian relations in multicultural groups

Contents

Finnish-Russian relations in a historical perspective (from 1809 to the present day); the autonomous Grand Duchy?s policies on Russia, the period of independent statehood, Finnish-Russian relations in the multilateral EU context.

The course is held in CBIR spring school in Petrozavodsk.
