Learning outcomes

The students will develop an understanding of the main preconditions of research design, data collection, alternative methods of data analyses applied in social and comparative research. These basic skills are needed when attending other methodological courses and when planning the Master's thesis.

Contents

The course includes an introduction lecture and a book exam. The aim of the literature examination is to give students the opportunity to gain insight into the discourse on methodology of social research. This includes the main ideas and methods of quantitative and qualitative research.
