General description

The Innovation Camp event consists of lectures and case exercise carried out in small multidisciplinary teams. The successful completion of the innovation camp requires completing the case assignment and the presentation of the case in time (1 credit). In order to receive 2 credits for the course a learning diary is required.

Contents

Innovation Camp gathers engineering and business students to search novel and innovative solutions for company challenges
- University student innovation contest
- Cases set by companies
- Students work together as multidisciplinary teams searching the best solution to given challenges
- Inspiring and motivating presentations on the theme
- Coaches, sparring
- The event will culminate in the evening of the third day when the teams present their results and the judges reward the best teams

Modes of study

In order to receive 1 credit only, students are required to attend the lectures and complete the case assignment. In order to receive 2 credits, students are required attend the lectures, complete the case assignment, and write a learning diary.

Case assignment (min. 16h)
- Cases are set by companies
- Students have two compulsory check points with university teachers and company representatives during the three-day event
- Cases are presented to the company representatives in the evening of the third day (15-minute presentation + 10 minutes for questions)
- Company representatives reward the best teams
- Successful case solution should include: situation analysis, the goals and objectives of the solution, recommendation and evaluation of the recommendation, implementation plan

Evaluation

Pass/fail.
