Learning outcomes

After the successful completion of the course, the students will
• understand the magnitude and determinants of human mobility
• know how human mobility impacts on global health and health care
• be able to appraise scientific literature and to make oral presentations

• Key definitions in human mobility and immigrant status
• Historical trends, current situation, and future predictions on the magnitude and directions of human mobility
• Determinants of human mobility
• The impact of human mobility on global disease epidemiology
• Immigrant health and health care
• Special issues in travelers’ health
• Injuries and mortality related to road traffic
• Environmental consequences of road and air traffic
• International mobility of health care personnel: magnitude, causes and consequences
