Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will have a thorough understanding of the laws, regulations, and government guidelines that apply to authorised translation. The student will also understand their responsibilities and obligations as an authorised translator. The student will be able to recognise the specific characteristics of different official documents and understand the principles that are involved in producing a legally valid translation.

Further information
The student must receive at least the grade 4 on the written exam, in order for their performance to be considered as being on the level that is required for the university to grant the student with authorised translator rights on the basis of their degree. If the student does not meet the requirements set for authorised translation, but otherwise successfully completes the course, the student may receive ECTS credits for the course under the course unit code MVKS54–56.
