Learning outcomes

Once students have completed the course, they will be familiar with the deep structures and cultural-semiotic concepts of Russian culture and be able to use them to analyse and interpret cultural history. Students will also be familiar with the key theories of cultural studies and be able to apply these theories to the interpretation of Russian cultural history.

Contents

Students study contemporary theories in cultural studies and familiarise themselves with Russian cultural history through various key texts.
