Learning outcomes

After taking the course student
- understands human cognitive processes, such as perception, memory, and thinking
- knows how to design and evaluate user interfaces from the perspective of human cognitive processes
- understands the differences on how humans and computers process information.

Contents

The course focuses on the basics of human cognitive functioning. Topics include visual and auditory information processing, memory processes, and basic mechanisms related to thinking and problem solving. The emphasis will be on the applicability of the covered topics to interactive technology.
