General description

A book exam and three written essays. For the topics of the essays, please, contact the person in charge of the course.

Learning outcomes

Students will become familiar with the history, research topics, basic concepts, and research methods of cognitive psychology and neuropsychology. Students will know more about the structure and nature of information processes related to perception and attention and they will also have the basic knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and the function of the sensory systems.

Contents

A closer look at the functions of different sensory and motor systems as well as the cognitive and
neurological processes related to perception and attention. Students will study the structure, functions and development of the brain, as well as the research methods employed in investigating brain functions.
