General description

The focus on EU financial management utilizes the financial management cycle concept of budgeting, implementation, control and audit. The specific focus is on the evaluation and audit of EU structural funds.

Learning outcomes

The course will enable students to understand the allocation and use of financial resources in the EU and appreciate the public policies on which they are based. After successfully completing this course students will understand basic budgeting models and concepts employed in the EU, evaluation models and logics of EU structural funds. In addition, students will comprehend control and auditing systems applied to the finances of EU institutions.
