Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will have an understanding of the basics of medicine and healthcare. The student will be familiar with the central terminology of medicine and healthcare in Finnish. Furthermore, the student will understand medical texts and will be able to search for more information on the field when necessary.

Contents

The course unit explores anatomy, treatment of diseases, and the work of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. In addition, the student will learn how to obtain more information on medical topics.
