Information Studies and Interactive Media
General description
The course focuses on the foundations of designing and implementing digital media online services from the perspectives of information studies and interactive media. During the classes, online services serve as starting points to map and mirror various connected cultural and social phenomena with a major focus on analyzing the needs and requirements of the users of these services.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course a student is expected to be able to:
-recognize the types of current online media services
-evaluate the properties and applications of online media services
-comprehend the meaning of online media services in practice, for example, as tools of information retrieval and organization, as mediators of experiences, as bases of information entities and collections of research data

Web technology; accessibility of information, usability; client’s perspective; media elements and multilinear structures; ideating, planning, and manuscripts; persuasion technology and techniques; special issues in information services; social media
