General description

The course introduces the multidisciplinary field and key elements of public health.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course the course students are familiar with the context and multidisciplinary field of Public Health, its history, main terminology, key
concepts and health systems.

Determinants of health, health promotion, health systems, determinants approaches to public health

Lectures open for all University of Tampere students but group work, seminar, participation in site visits and exam are only for MPH students.
