Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will be familiar with the different phases of the writing process. The student will be able to analyse different text genres and communication situations and produce text appropriate to the given context. The student will also be able to edit their own Finnish language texts as well as those of others.

Contents

The course unit examines the production of text as an overall process and the conventions and styles of different text genres. Furthermore, the course unit provides practice in writing and editing different types of texts. Additionally, the course unit examines the research of different text genres with the help of literature.
