Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will be able to describe the basic principles of user-centred translation and its background in usability research. The student will be able to list the translation methods of user-centred translation and apply them in the different stages of the translation process.
Contents
The course unit explores the concept of usability and its elements as well as the links between translation theories and usability. In addition, the course unit explores the main theses of user-centred translation and its central methods. During the course unit, the student will complete exercises that are based on these methods.
