Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will be familiar with the degree and scope of interpreting research and its research methods. The student will identify the paradigms of interpreting research and understand its multidisciplinary nature. The student will be familiar with the terms used in interpreting research and will be able to retrieve information on interpreting theory and apply it to their own research and to interpreting training and practice.
Contents
The course unit explores key theories and research themes in community interpreting, court interpreting, and conference interpreting. In addition, the course unit includes presenting relevant literature, searching for information, reporting, and reading.
