General description

A literature course on the sociology of health.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course the student has the skills required to understand health and illness and health care as social phenomena.

Contents

The literature on the course covers basic concepts of the sociology of health, health care and professions as social institutions, the cultural contexts of health and illness.
