An individually designed project course that can be completed during the studies, preferably in the second year of studies. The work is individually designed and can be done in one of the research groups at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Tampere or in other faculties of the university. Alternatively, it could be a Demola-project (or similar) or carried out in an NGO as voluntary work or in a company. The aims are always individually determined but the general learning outcomes are listed below. Students have a person who acts as mentor and contact person in the research group and organization and they write a plan before the studies (1 page) and report (3-5 pages) after the studies. A clearly defined task for the student is defined before the start of the course and this is included in the plan.
