Learning outcomes
Students know and can explain key concepts in multimodal textual research. Students can also name methods used in textual research and image analysis, read and interpret the relationship between text and image, and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of modalities. Based on this knowledge, students can map out and produce a multimodal analysis with the help of one of the methods covered during the course.
Contents
Visual semiotics, extended text concept and systemic functional image analysis.
