Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will be familiar with the challenges that translating from English into Finnish and from Finnish into English present. The student will also have an understanding of how translating into their B working language differs from translating into their A working language. The student will be able to translate texts on general topics from Finnish into English and from English into Finnish. The student will also be able to apply the principles of professional translating in their own translations. The student will also be able to justify and comment on their translation solutions.

Contents

The course unit explores the field of professional translation through practical exercises.
