Upon completion of the course students are able to - appreciate and critically analyze the historical contexts of Russian foreign policy - identify main issues and actors in contemporary Russian foreign policy - choose and critically apply different theoretical approaches in FPA to the study of Russian foreign policy - present and critically evaluate competing interpretations on Russian foreign policy - identify suitable research materials and undertake foreign policy analysis - articulate informed judgments on Russian foreign policy and communicate them in a way relevant to public discourse

The course starts in Tampere autumn school and continues in Petrozavodsk spring school.
