To learn effective scientific communication and delivery of research results.

Sisältö

Principles of scientific conferences and publishing. Preparation and presentation of a poster and a seminar speech, based on the research results and/or research plans of your thesis work or a successful Biological data analysis project. Scientific discussion based on posters and seminars.

Vaadittavat opintosuoritukset

Participation to a local scientific meeting, where the students present results based on their thesis work as a poster and a seminar. The poster and oral presentation can be done in different meetings. Some students will also act as chairmen. When suitable lecture courses are available (such as ABC of scientific communication), they will be form part of the credits of this course. Otherwise the course will also contain lectures, reading and essays.
