Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this course, the student:
- knows how mediation is a part of broader peacemaking processes
- understands the various challenges included in mediation attempts
- is aware of the various mediation models and practices
- has basic understanding on how to act as a mediator
- knows what dialogue processes consist of

Contents

The course combines theoretical and critical approaches with practical orientations to mediation. Practitioners from relevant NGOs and the Foreign Ministry are invited to the course. Small workshops and simulations are organized to acquintance the student with practical mediation situations.
