- understands how poverty can be measured and documented in various ways
- can identify main types of conditions (crises, risks, space) that shape the nature of poverty
- learns the main features on how poverty is linked to health and education
- knows major politics and key policies related to poverty that have global relevance
- can write an essay on global poverty
