Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student will be able to apply basic methods of estimation and hypothesis testing to simple statistical inference problems. The student will understand the concept of sampling distribution and will be able to apply the central limit theorem and the concepts of stochastic convergence to examine estimators and test statistics. The student will master the basics of likelihood inference and will know the central properties of point and interval estimators.
