General description
This course is meant for both Finnish and international students who have recently returned from a stay abroad, are currently living abroad, or will soon be leaving for an extended stay abroad.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will have a better understanding of the process of learning and adapting to another culture, as well as re-entering their own culture after an extended stay abroad.
Contents
Exercises and group discussions on topics related to the theme of the course. There will be some readings and written tasks, including a learning diary. Students will be able to share their experiences of the different phases of cultural transitions, and benefit from the experience of others.
