After the course, the student can utilize different software for genetic analyses and apply genetic knowledge for understanding inherited conditions.

Contents

The aim of this course is to introduce the students basic statistical, genetic, and computational analyses related to genetics studies and genetic conditions. Necessary theoretical background for understanding the concepts are provided but the focus is on hands on exercises which will be done by utilizing selected software. In addition, students will study one inherited condition from different genetic and biological perspectives. Students can work and make the required reports independently or in pairs.
