Learning outcomes

The aim of the Internship is to give students the opportunity to develop and apply the knowledge gained during their studies in working life. Students will connect their conceptual knowledge with workplace realities in relevant social policy professions.

Contents

Working as a trainee/doing voluntary work in an organization or participating in a project relevant to the study programme for at least three months. Student completes the internship in an organization of his/her choice. The organization appoints a tutor for the student. Together with the tutor, the student prepares an internship plan, in which they agree on the tasks and on the student's personal objectives set for the internship.

After the internship the student is required to write an internship report. In the report the student analyzes the experiences and observations about the work and the internship place, using the concepts learned during the studies. The report must fulfill the standards of academic writing.

Internship place, duration of internship and the report to be agreed with the academic coordinator of the programme.
