Thesis seminar prepares students to independently carry out research projects, formulate research questions that form part of disciplinary discussions both theoretically and thematically, identify and collect research material and analyze it in an appropriately advanced fashion as well as report research in an accurate, clear and interesting manner. The seminar also prepares students to communicate research results and familiarizes them with different kinds of academic events such as seminars, panels, symposia and conferences.
After writing the Master's thesis the student will be able to show in-depth knowledge of the chosen topic, mastery of appropriate theories and research methods and capability of scientific expression.
Contents
Independent writing and individual supervising given by the research supervisor.
Master's thesis should display solid theoretical and methodological knowledge and expertise in an area or issue relevant to the content of the Master’s Degree Programme. The average length of thesis is 60-80 pages and should not exceed 100 pages.
