Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will be familiar with localisation as a professional field and as a research topic and will be able to analyse and assess localised products.

Contents

The student will be familiar with the concepts of internationalisation, globalisation, and localisation as well as with the relationship between localisation and translation. The course unit comprises analyses and exercises related to localising products such as websites, games, and software, and an introduction to the labour market, theory, and research in the field of localisation. Completion of the course unit requires active participation, acceptable completion of the exercises, and a learning diary.
