Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will be able to analyse and compare the structures of the English language in different communication situations. In addition, the student will be able to describe the grammatical features typical to different communication situations.

Contents

With the help of authentic text and speech samples, the student will learn how context-specific the structures of the English language are. In addition, the student will write an essay on an agreed topic. The essay will focus on how the topic is covered in relevant source literature and how the structures under study are used in the research materials.
